The Boundary Commission for England is carrying out a review of all Parliamentary constituency boundaries. The review will introduce substantial changes as it:

  • reduces the number of constituencies in England from 533 to 502; and
  • makes sure that each constituency contains a similar number of registered electors.

We published our initial proposals on 13 September 2011 and held a 12 week consultation on these which finished on 5 December 2011. We held a further four week consultation from 6 March 2102 to 3 April 2012 to allow people to view and comment on those representations received from the first consultation. On 16 October 2012 we published our revised proposals and held an eight week consultation that closed on 10 December 2012.

You can find out more about the proposed boundary changes in your area by looking at the revised proposals which were published on 16 October 2012.
